Services

We provide affirming therapy services for LGBTQIA+ children, youth, and young adults ages 6 to 25 insured through Santa Clara County-based MediCal.

Our programs are designed to support young people navigating mental health, identity, relationships, and life transitions in a safe, inclusive, and compassionate environment. No judgment, no pressure, just real support from real people who care.

Individual Therapy

Work with a LGBTQ+ affirming clinician to better manage your mental health symptoms in a supportive environment. Treatment goals are formed collaboratively with you and are tailored to the unique individual.

Group Therapy

Learn new coping skills and connect with other LGBTQ+ folks who are learning to manage their mental health as well.

Family Therapy

Attend sessions with family members/chosen family to strengthen difficult dynamics, improve communication and boundaries, and enhance members' understanding of mental health symptoms and identity. Family therapy can be especially helpful when navigating identity-related stressors, transitions, conflict at home, or rebuilding support.

Individual Rehabilitation

Work with a LGBTQ+ affirming professional to navigate emotions and stress and learn skills to help uplift your well-being and better cope with your symptoms.

Medication Management

Work with a LGBTQ+ affirming psychiatrist and a licensed vocational nurse to find a medication regiment to support symptom management.

Targeted Case Management

Get support with connecting to local LGBTQ+ resources. Case management helps connect you to community resources to meet your needs. This can include care coordination with other providers, referrals, applying for financial support, benefits/navigation assistance, housing support, transportation support, and employment support.

In-Person & Telehealth Options

Services are available in-person or via a secure video platform—based on clinical needs, eligibility, and your preference. We’ll help you choose the format that best supports consistency and access.

What to Expect

Getting Started

Begin with a brief referral screening to learn your current support needs and determine if you are eligible for the LGBTQ+ mental health outpatient program. If appropriate, we’ll schedule an intake appointment, review paperwork, and coordinate next steps.

Your First Appointment

On your first visit, you will complete intake paperwork to enroll in our program. During the intake, you will consent to services and provide us with basic demographic information. We will gather information about your current symptoms, desired focus, and needs for treatment. You will also share your treatment preferences.

After the initial intake appointment, you will move into the assessment phase of treatment, where we will assess your current symptoms to form a diagnosis, gather information about your history, current stressors, strengths, risk factors, and supports.

Together, we’ll identify goals and recommend a plan that may include individual therapy, group therapy, family sessions, medication support, rehabilitation services, and/or case management.

Our Approach

Our care is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect. We’ll collaborate with you on a plan that feels practical and empowering, focusing on safety, coping skills, connection, and coordinated support across your care team (with your consent).
