Develop healthy relationships with H.E.A.R.T.

Who We Are

H.E.A.R.T. is the newest addition to Caminar’s LGBTQ programs—and it’s changing the way we approach relationship education. As the first program of its kind within our services, H.E.A.R.T. (Healthy, Equitable, and Respectful Together) focuses on preventing intimate partner violence through a proactive, inclusive lens.

Rather than centering fear-based narratives, H.E.A.R.T. equips communities of all ages and identities with the tools to build strong, respectful, and caring relationships of all kinds. What makes H.E.A.R.T. truly unique is its expansive view of relationships.

We know that connection comes in many forms, not just romantic. That’s why our curriculum includes the dynamics of friendships, chosen family, coworkers, roommates, and more. No matter your identity or relationship type, H.E.A.R.T. creates space to reflect, learn, and grow in a supportive environment.

Need Support?

We understand that violence doesn't look the same for everyone. It can show up in many forms emotional, physical, verbal, financial, and digital; each person’s experience is unique. Your story, your needs, and your path to healing deserve to be met with respect and understanding.

That’s why we’re here to support you in ways that feel right for you. Whether you're just starting to name what's happening, looking for someone to talk to, or seeking concrete next steps, you're not alone.

We offer confidential one-on-one meetings where you can be heard without judgment, and we can help connect you to trusted, affirming resources from counseling to housing support to legal services.
