Our reach extends beyond our walls to support the vibrant LGBTQIA+ community throughout Santa Clara County. Through our Community Outreach programs, we bring vital resources, education, and advocacy to where they’re needed most. Whether it’s hosting workshops, partnering with schools, or engaging in local events, we’re here to empower individuals and build connections. Together, we create a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone can thrive.

School Support

We're here to support both educators and students. We can train faculty and staff, consult with faculty and/or students about offering LGBTQIA+ groups and safe spaces on campus, share volunteer opportunities for service-learning, and more!

Education

Education is at the heart of fostering understanding and inclusivity. Through our training sessions and dynamic panels, we provide tools and insights to help organizations, schools, and individuals better support the LGBTQIA+ community. Our customized trainings offer practical strategies for creating affirming spaces, while our engaging panels share lived experiences that inspire empathy and awareness. Together, we can build a more informed and compassionate community.

Professional Development

We offer S.O.G.I.E. (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression) trainings for any organization. These trainings will discuss gender/sexuality awareness and best practices for allyship.

To request a S.O.G.I.E. training, reach out to our Outreach Coordinator, Diego González (they/them), at: dgonzalez@fcservices.org.

Speakers Bureau

In addition to trainings, we also provide a panel of multi-generational LGBTQIA+ speakers from our Speakers Bureau to share their lived experiences. Our panels provide an excellent forum for dialogue and Q&A about identity(ies).

To join the Speakers Bureau or to host a panel, please reach out to our Speakers Bureau Coordinator, Justin Ortiz (he/him), at jortiz@fcservces.org.

Adult Support

For folks above the age of 18, we have our LGBTQ Wellness program. LGBTQ Wellness is a community outreach and support program that uplifts the mental health and holistic wellness of LGBTQIA+ adults in Santa Clara County.

They aim to reduce stigma, and activate allyship at both the individual and institutional levels. There offer a multitude of peer support groups, one-to-one peer support, as wells as advocacy and policy work.

Healthy Relationships

H.E.A.R.T. (Healthy, Equitable, and Respectful Together) is an intimate partner violence (IPV) prevention program through healthy relationship workshops. They are the first of their kind in providing IPV prevention through an inclusive lens. This is for relationship configurations of all types, not just romantic ones. They are able to provide these workshops free of charge with a plethora of different topics, such as consent, how to give a genuine apology, and setting healthy boundaries.

To request a workshop, please connect with our H.E.A.R.T Program Coordinator, Justin Ortiz (he/him), at jortiz@fcservces.org.
